Beskrivelse: The film is presented through a retrospect of the Italian tradition to religious drama. A comparison is made of the approach to the theme with Pasolini's perspective and Zefirelli is considered "more of a humanist and less ambiguous…closer to Saint Francis of Assisi and to the youth movement of the '70s". The movie is called an "exciting visual symphony"; and as far as the plethora of the stars, they teach acting lessons!
